Jurček – bigger, better, legendary!

Wednesday

01. 07. 2015

Jurček stage, named by a legendary persona of the festival, continues its journey at a bigger location.

The famous area next to the Water Tower seemed perfect to be a new concert location for one of the oldest and most visited stages of the festival. Jurček Stage is considered to be an oasis of positive energy, which results in its colorful program and loyal audience. According to producer Vladimir Šega, the program will preserve Jurček’s distinctive identity while having more space to accommodate visitors.

Named after Jurček, a legend from the streets of Maribor, the stage reflects his personality. Jurček was a funny character that was always present at the festival. Long mustache, small figure, an old police uniform, a radio in one hand and always full of rumors is what best describes the festival’s unofficial director. Jurček was popular everywhere he appeared, and funny enough, he appeared everywhere.
