What to expect from this year’s edition of Lent Festival? Loads of fun, excellent music, unforgettable moments, gastronomic delights, exploring of hidden city corners and, of course, sleepless, dancy nights.

At the beginning of summer, Maribor blossoms in all its beauty. The streets and embankment fill with people, the green lawns in the park come to life through children’s laughter. During the day, the sunshine is caressing the smiling faces under their sunglasses, in the evening the air is trembling with musical echoes, and talks. For a couple of weeks the heat chases away even the most obstinate worries of winter days, and that’s when the city blossoms in all colours, sounds, and fragrances. These few weeks Maribor is shining in its best light. And these few weeks, this unique summer start, has been celebrated with the Lent Festival for more than two decades.

We will be celebrating the arrival of summer with numerous great music performers, breath-taking dance and theatre shows, magical street theatre performers and their crazy ideas, and many other accompanying events. Join us, and start lent-ing your way into the summer time.
