ŽELJKO KERLETA (SRB) ● WHO

The final set this year belongs to the ambassador of Yugo jazz, to mister "Cosmic", Željko Kerleta. Željko is very active: he is an architect, a producer, DJ, host of a radio show, and owner of a record label. He has been devoted to music since his teenage years, when he and his friends started a blues band that he soon left, and replaced with a new hobby – collecting vinyl. First, he was attracted by funk, and soul, later he expanded his horizons and collection with jazz dance, Latin, African and Brazilian rhythms. During the late 80’s he moved to London where he founded his record label Cosmic Sounds, re-publishing local and Eastern European jazz productions of the golden era of jazz (Duško Gojković, Jazz orkester Radio televizije Beograd, Janko Nilović).

This will not only be his first show in Maribor, but his first time in our city as well. We are very excited about this, and so is he! He will be joined by Who and a special guest, who shall remain a secret for now.

No doubt, this is going to be another unforgettable festival finish!
