Maribor will finally get a chance to experience the blues/rock guitarist of Serbian origin and a multiple "Blues Music Award" nominee in the category "Contemporary Blues Female Artist". Following the release of her album Blue Room on May 19, Ana is currently on tour performing her greatest hits and remakes of blues/rock classics.

Ana Popović was born in 1976 in Belgrade, Serbia. Her father introduced her to blues and she began playing the guitar when she turned fifteen.

In 1995, she founded the group Hush with Rade Popović (guitar, vocals), Milan Sarić (bass) and Bojan Ivković (drums). Their music is rhythm and blues with elements of funk and soul. In 1998, the band had over 100 performances and released their album Hometown.

In 1999, Ana founded Ana Popović Band, which later appeared next to names such as Eric Burdon, Taj Mahal, Buddy Miles, Double Trouble, and Eric Gales on the Jimi Hendrix tribute album Blue Haze: Song of Jimi Hendrix, for which Ana created a cover of “Belly Button Window”. In 2001, the band released their debut Hush! and continued recording and collecting nominations and awards.

CAN OF BEES (SLO)

Can of Bees was founded in 2010 and has since then recorded 3 albums (Love EP, Can of Bees LP, LogJam Stories EP) and appeared on most concert stages in Slovenia. In 2011, the band won the Maribor ŠouRock competition. They consider winning the legendary Omladina 2012 festival in Serbia one of their greatest achievements (they received the "Best Band" award). In 2013, they returned to Serbia for two concerts at the Mladost club.

In 2014, the band recorded their third studio album LogJam Stories EP, once again produced by Ernie Mendillo (The Brandos, Blow Up, Help - a Beatles Tribute).
