Igor Leonardi is a musician from Slovenia, known for his unique sound. He started out as a self-taught guitarist, graduated from Graz Academy of Music and later travelled the world. He spent a decade in USA, working with the legendary Don Cherry and collaborated with many jazz musicians, such as Jason Newsted, member of Metallica. He also worked in Oakland, California as an expert for world (ethno) music.
His past experience can be seen in his music. Igor wrote songs for many Slovenian bands, including Quatebriga, Begnagrad, and Miladojka Youneed. He also composed music for theatre performances, directed by Vito Taufer, and helped creating a weekly show Muzikajeto, which received a Viktor award for popularity in 2011.
Internationally successful Fake Orchestra is a group of musicians with diverse experience and influences. This time, they will not be focusing on folk songs and Italian and Spanish melodies, Balkan and African rhythms, but rather on music of one of the greatest jazz singer Billie Holiday.
